    This book was short, yet informative. It wasn’t only about facts though, I very much enjoyed the part where author shared the stories of other people suffering from this disease. It made the book a little bit more „human“. I also learned what gout is and how doctors diagnose it. The most useful part is though the chapter with food and beverages that are to be avoided – like high fructose drinks, alcohol and red meat. Book also covers usual means of medicine as well as homeopathy and home remedies, which I found very useful.
    Since there are a lot of „doctor“ terms used in this book, I very much appreciated the glossary at the end of the book.

    An informational book that touches on the real causes of gout, its diagnosis and treatment. What I like about the book is that it included some real life experiences of people who have gout and how they managed to keep the attacks at a controllable level, the stories provide a clear overview of the causes and symptoms of gout.

    It highlights the importance of lifestyle change focusing on the diet, lowering intake of food high in purine which is the main causes of gout growth and incorporating it with regular exercise and the best part is that this book also provides great recipes to complement to your overall lifestyle change.

    First and foremost, I would like to say thank you to Karl Minner for writing this book. Being diagnosed with gout himself, he already has struggles in life yet he still took the time to write this for you and I. Hat being said, this book was very informative and well written. Diet is everything in life. I honestly believe that. Karl explains the importance of a diet change and how it can greatly impact your life. He also gives some great home remedies to help ease the pain of these joint pains. I would recommend this book to anyone suffering from gout or just looking for some more information on it.
